Yoga mats and resistance bands are the two product lines most importers start with. They are light, they ship cheaply per unit, they sell through fast, and they are easy to brand. They are also the two lines where the minimum order question is most often answered wrongly — because the MOQ is not one number. It varies by material, by weight grade, and by whether the mat is a single-specification product or a multi-grade product.
This guide gives the actual minimums across a full yoga mat and resistance band catalogue, explains why the numbers differ, and shows how to structure an order that fits your budget. Every figure is real data from UnivFitness, a Chinese fitness equipment manufacturer operating Wholesale & OEM Only with headline MOQ from 1,000 pcs, FOB Shanghai, 30-day lead time, 30% advance / 70% before shipment, free samples with the sample fee refunded on bulk order, and inspection before and after production with a report on every order.
The short answer
| Product | Model | MOQ |
|---|---|---|
| TPE yoga mats | UV21001, UV21002, UV21003, UV21006, UV21007, UV21008, UV21009 | 1,000 pcs |
| NBR yoga mats | UV20901, UV20903, UV20904, UV20906 | 1,000 pcs |
| PVC yoga mats | UV20701, UV20703, UV20704, UV20708, UV20711, UV20712, UV20717, UV20719 | 1,000 pcs |
| Cork + TPE yoga mat | UV21108 | 1,004 pcs |
| PVC ab mat | UV61501 | 500 pcs |
| PU ab mat | UV61505 | 1,000 pcs |
| Latex power band | UV43101 | 1,000 pcs |
So: 1,000 pcs is the standard across both lines, with two genuine exceptions — UV21108 at 1,004 pcs, and UV61501 at 500 pcs. The rest of the variation is not in the minimum, it is in what you get for that minimum: thickness, weight grade, surface finish and size.
TPE yoga mats: 1,000 pcs, seven models, eight thickness grades
TPE is the mainstream mat material — closed-cell, recyclable, and available in a wide weight band. The line:
| Model | Specification | MOQ |
|---|---|---|
| UV21001 | 173 × 61 cm, thickness across eight grades from 0.3 cm to 1.0 cm | 1,000 pcs |
| UV21002 | 173 × 61 × 1.0 cm, weight range 700–1,520 g | 1,000 pcs |
| UV21003 | Camouflage pattern TPE | 1,000 pcs |
| UV21006 | With hanging holes, 180 × 60 × 1 cm | 1,000 pcs |
| UV21007 | With body alignment lines, 183 × 61 × 0.6 cm | 1,000 pcs |
| UV21008 | Edge-bound / wrapped edge TPE | 1,000 pcs |
| UV21009 | Suede surface, 183 × 68 × 0.6 cm | 1,000 pcs |
| UV21108 | Cork bonded to TPE, 183 × 61 × 1 cm, weight across eight grades from 400 g to 1,370 g, indicative FOB wholesale price $11.48 | 1,004 pcs |
Two points buyers miss.
UV21001 lets you spread one 1,000-pcs minimum across eight thickness grades. From 0.3 cm (travel and pilates) to 1.0 cm (studio and home). That is a complete assortment from a single minimum order — which is exactly what a retail range needs.
UV21108 is the outlier, and its MOQ tells you why. Cork is a natural material sourced in lots, and this model carries eight weight grades from 400 g to 1,370 g. The 1,004 figure reflects a full material lot rather than a marketing round number. At an indicative FOB wholesale price of $11.48 it is also a premium product, so the minimum is deliberately close to the mainstream figure — the factory does not need a huge order to justify the run, it needs a complete one.
NBR yoga mats: 1,000 pcs, four models
NBR is the value and comfort material — thicker for the money, softer under the knee, popular in home and rehab channels.
| Model | Specification | MOQ |
|---|---|---|
| UV20901 | 180 × 60 × 1.0 cm, weight 800–1,200 g | 1,000 pcs |
| UV20903 | 180 × 60 cm, thickness options 0.8 / 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.5 cm | 1,000 pcs |
| UV20904 | 173 × 61 × 0.6 cm, 1,300 g | 1,000 pcs |
| UV20906 | Sewn edge NBR | 1,000 pcs |
The weight spread within a single model is the thing to plan around. UV20901 ranges from 800 g to 1,200 g at the same 1.0 cm thickness — a 50% swing in material per unit. That changes both your unit cost and your container weight, so state your target weight explicitly in the RFQ rather than just the thickness.
UV20903 gives you four thickness options under one model code, and 1.5 cm is a genuinely different product from 0.8 cm — a thick mat sells to a different buyer than a travel mat. Spread your 1,000 units across the thickness range.
PVC yoga mats: 1,000 pcs, eight models
PVC is the price and durability material, and the line is the most varied in surface treatment:
| Model | Specification | MOQ |
|---|---|---|
| UV20701 | Honeycomb texture, 173 × 61 × 1 cm | 1,000 pcs |
| UV20703 | 173 × 61 × 1.0 cm, weight 1,580–2,000 g | 1,000 pcs |
| UV20704 | 173 × 61 × 0.5 cm | 1,000 pcs |
| UV20708 | Hot-stamp foil finish, thickness 0.4 / 0.5 / 0.6 cm | 1,000 pcs |
| UV20711 | Suede finish, thickness 0.14 / 0.33 cm | 1,000 pcs |
| UV20712 | Foldable, 0.2 cm | 1,000 pcs |
| UV20717 | Three-line design, 0.6 cm | 1,000 pcs |
| UV20719 | Cork print, 0.3 cm | 1,000 pcs |
Note the extremes: UV20711 at 0.14 cm is a travel or hot-yoga overlay; UV20703 at 1,580–2,000 g is a heavy studio mat. Same material, same MOQ, completely different freight profile — UV20703 will weigh several times more per unit than UV20711, so plan container weight accordingly.
Also note UV20719 (cork print, 0.3 cm) versus UV21108 (cork bonded to TPE, 1 cm). One is a printed cork effect; the other is actual cork. Different product, different price point, different minimum.
EVA and cork mats
| Model | Material | Indicative FOB wholesale price |
|---|---|---|
| UV20801 | EVA | $1.48 |
| UV20803 | EVA | $2.62 |
| UV20802 | EVA | $4.03 |
| UV21109 | Cork | $9.61 |
| UV21105 | Cork | $18.75 |
EVA is the entry-level price point. Cork sits at the premium end — UV21105 at $18.75 indicative FOB wholesale price is a specialist retail product, and the appropriate order for it is usually a smaller quantity at a higher unit value, not a full commodity run. Confirm the minimum per model when you enquire, since these sit outside the standard TPE / NBR / PVC structure.
Ab mats: the 500-pcs exception
| Model | Specification | MOQ | Indicative FOB wholesale price |
|---|---|---|---|
| UV61501 | PVC + sponge, 30 × 38 × 7 cm | 500 pcs | $3.44 |
| UV61505 | PU, 34 × 28 × 6 cm, 800 g | 1,000 pcs | — |
UV61501 at 500 pcs is the lowest entry point in the mat programme and the natural first product for a buyer testing the category. It is also a soft-face product, which matters for branding: soft and latex surfaces take 1C printing, while cast iron and painted surfaces take a mould logo. UV61501 is named specifically as a 1C-printing product.
Resistance bands: UV43101 at 1,000 pcs
| Model | Product | Indicative FOB wholesale price |
|---|---|---|
| UV43101 | Latex power band, 208 × 0.45 cm, 10 resistance levels (0.64 / 1.3 / 1.9 / 2.2 / 2.9 / 3.2 / 4.4 / 4.5 / 6.4 / 8.3 cm), 5 pcs per colour card, carton 40 × 28 × 28 cm | $1.13 |
| UV43102 | Two-colour power band | $1.30 |
| UV43002 | Latex resistance tube | $1.80 |
| UV42903 | Latex loop band | $2.47 |
| UV42503 | Pedal band | $3.36 |
| UV42502 | Pedal band | $3.70 |
| UV42905 | Single-colour resistance tube | $4.16 |
| UV42906 | Two-colour resistance tube | $5.39 |
| UV42904 | Textured loop band | $4.67 |
UV43101 is listed at 1,000 pcs, and the wholesale programme headline is MOQ from 1,000 pcs. Confirm the minimum for each band model when you enquire, because set-up differs between dipped loop bands, extruded latex bands and tube-with-handle assemblies.
The commercial logic of UV43101 is worth spelling out. At $1.13 indicative FOB wholesale price, with 5 pcs per colour card and a carton of 40 × 28 × 28 cm (0.0314 CBM), a 20 ft container at roughly 28 CBM holds about 891 cartons — roughly 4,455 bands. Freight per band is negligible. That is why bands are the classic filler for a container whose volume is not fully used by heavier goods.
Why the MOQ is where it is
The minimum is set by the process, not by sales policy:
- Extrusion and lamination minimum run. TPE, NBR and PVC lines have to be brought to temperature, stabilised and brought back down. Short runs waste material at both ends.
- Weight grade calibration. UV21001 at eight thickness grades and UV21002 across a 700–1,520 g range require the line to be trimmed and re-checked between grades.
- Natural-material lots. Cork (UV21108) is bought in lots. This is why its MOQ is 1,004 rather than 1,000.
- Dipping and extrusion for latex. Band lines have their own compound and cure cycles.
- Print set-up. Custom colours, logo and private-label packaging each add a set-up step. On latex and soft surfaces the logo route is 1C printing, which has no tooling cost — a real advantage when you want a branded first order without tooling commitment.
How to structure an order that fits
If your budget is around 500 pcs: start with UV61501 (PVC ab mat, 500 pcs). Validate the category, then move to mats and bands at 1,000 on the reorder.
If your budget is around 1,000 pcs, choose the spread:
| Approach | Configuration | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness spread | UV21001, 1,000 pcs across eight grades from 0.3 to 1.0 cm | Complete TPE assortment from one minimum |
| Size spread | UV20903, 1,000 pcs across 0.8 / 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.5 cm | N assortment for home and studio |
| Resistance spread | UV43101, 1,000 pcs across the 10 resistance levels | Full band set for retail bundles |
| Cross-model consolidation | TPE + NBR + PVC + bands combined into one order | Broader range, subject to written confirmation |
If you want branding on the first order: choose a 1C-print product — UV43101 or UV61501. No tooling cost, fast approval, and you can still add custom colours and private-label packaging.
If you want a mould logo: that route applies to cast iron and painted products such as UV11101, not to mats or latex bands. If your programme eventually includes both, plan the artwork lock date for the mould items separately, because a mould cannot be changed once cut.
Build the container around the light lines
Mats and bands are bulky relative to weight, so they fill volume fast. Two consequences:
- Do not ship a container of only mats and bands unless your market absorbs that volume quickly — you will fill 28 CBM long before you approach any payload limit, and you will pay to ship air.
- Pair them with dense goods. In the same catalogue, cast iron dumbbells (UV10601, 2.5–50 kg), cast iron sets (UV11101 at 20 pcs per carton, 101 × 87 × 98 cm, 0.861 CBM) and kettlebells (UV12301 / UV12302, cast iron + vinyl, 4–32 kg) provide the weight. Mats and bands provide the volume fill. Together they use both constraints.
The wider catalogue supports this: 82 yoga mats, 131 foam roller and yoga accessory products, 43 resistance band and tube products, 213 dumbbell and barbell products and 772 strength and home gym products — more than 1,500 SKUs across 13 categories.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order 500 yoga mats?
The TPE, NBR and PVC mat lines are listed at 1,000 pcs. If 500 is your real ceiling, start with UV61501 (PVC ab mat, 500 pcs) or consolidate across mat models — subject to written confirmation.
Why is UV21108’s MOQ 1,004?
Because it is cork bonded to TPE at 183 × 61 × 1 cm with eight weight grades from 400 g to 1,370 g. Cork is bought in material lots, and the minimum reflects a complete lot rather than a round number.
Is the MOQ per size or per model?
Per model — and sizes can usually be distributed within that model. UV21001 across its eight thickness grades is the clearest example.
Can I put my logo on a resistance band?
Yes. Latex and soft surfaces take 1C printing, which is the route used on UV43101 and UV61501. It has no tooling cost, so it is the right choice for a first branded order.
Order mats and bands with the minimums confirmed
Yoga mats and resistance bands are the fastest way to build a fitness range — but only if you order against the real minimums and the right specification.
